Hard to let go? Jennifer Lopez appears to still be living in the Beverly Hills marital mansion she shared with Ben Affleck during their brief marriage.
The “Waiting for Tonight” singer, 55, posted a series of photos wearing a black and white plaid jacket and miniskirt while standing in the home’s doorway on Monday, November 4. J. Lo was impeccably styled with gorgeous hair and makeup, telling fans she was wearing Dior and about to jet out of town, adding a snapshot of her getting on a private jet.
The pictures appeared to be current, as the doorway featured Halloween decorations including jack-o’-lanterns and other pumpkins, as well as a sign pointing toward a pumpkin patch that featured “pumpkins, apples and hayrides” on the five-acre property.
Jennifer and Ben, 52, purchased the home in May 2023 for $60 million following their July 2022 elopement in Las Vegas. It was the only home the former couple shared during their two-year marriage.
In Touch exclusively reported in May that the Air actor had already moved out of the home and into a $100,000 rental, and that the pair’s split was imminent
“The writing is on the wall – it’s over,” the insider dished. “They’re headed for a divorce – and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame!”
“They’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for,” the source added. “They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”
Speculation began that Ben and Jennifer were trying to sell their home in June when new photos of the interiors and exteriors were added to Zillow. On June 8, TMZ reported the duo were working with realtor Santiago Arana from The Agency, who had been privately showing the home to prospective buyers for “about two weeks,” but there had been no takers.
The former couple publicly listed the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom mansion for $68 million on July 11. The 38,000-square-foot house sits atop a promontory.
“Recently renovated with the highest level of quality within the last 4 months,” the MLS listing noted about the home, which was described as a “newly rebuilt and expanded masterpiece.”
In a further sign that there was no going back for Ben and J. Lo, he closed escrow on a $20 million bachelor pad in Pacific Palisades, California, on July 24, which fell on The Wedding Planner star’s 55th birthday.
The duo spent Jennifer’s big day apart, as she celebrated with close friends at her home in the Hamptons, while Ben remained in Los Angeles. She threw a Bridgerton-themed birthday bash the weekend prior at the home, with guests attending in regency-style costumes.
The “On the Floor” singer filed for divorce from Ben on August 20, which fell on the two-year anniversary of their lavish Georgia wedding. Jennifer listed their date of separation as April 26, and filed pro per, meaning without an attorney.
While Jennifer was spotted house hunting in May in Beverly Hills, she has yet to purchase a new Los Angeles-area home like Ben did.
