Former Little Mix sensation Jesy Nelson has candidly revealed her past struggles with body image, which were so severe that she contemplated getting a boob job.
The 33-year-old songstress, who bid farewell to the girl group - comprised of Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall - in 2020 due to mental health issues, took to Instagram to share a heart-wrenching confession about a discussion she had with a doctor who proposed she undergo the procedure.
She posted a brief snippet from Anna and Mandi Vakili's podcast, Sisters in the City, where they discussed their own experiences with cosmetic surgery. The singer praised: "I absolutely adore these two for being so real about this s**t."

Jesy went on to reveal that she was on the brink of going under the knife two years ago after a "doctor told me I needed it". She confessed that during a "very insecure" phase of her life, she yearned to "be loved", and believed that undergoing the body alteration could evoke those feelings within herself.
However, it was only after she "did real work on my inner self" that she realised her insecurities weren't physical but rather tied to her complex emotions, leading her to ultimately decide against the surgery.
"I'm so grateful that I never went through with it because I know I would have regretted it," Jesy penned in a heartfelt message. "I'm not against anyone having procedures if it truly makes them happy and feel better, as everyone should live their life the way they want.", reports the Mirror.
She further encouraged her fans to alter their bodies only "I'm not against anyone having things done if it genuinely is going to make you happy and feel better because everybody needs to live their life how they want to," warning that "these things can't be reversed and could potentially make you feel worse about yourself."
The Bad Thing singer, known for promoting body positivity during her stint in the X Factor girl band and as a solo artist, added: "We are all born different for a reason, and that's bloody beautiful."
In a short clip she shared, Mandi - sister of ex-Love Island star Anna - candidly admitted that she "destroyed" her body with surgical procedures and chose to share her story to prevent others from making the same mistakes. Despite appearing to have the "perfect body" on Instagram, Mandi confessed that when she stands unposed in front of the mirror, there are "issues".
She said: "I've spent all this money on surgery, and I look like crap." The sisters then urged listeners, particularly young women, to think 'really hard' about the decision, highlighting the potential complications that can arise.
