Jim Jones‘ recent statements regarding Cam’ron and Ma$e have resulted in the duo responding via their It Is What It Is Instagram page, with a recent post reminding followers of Jones’ previous praise of the “Feel So Good” rapper for teaching him “how to rap.”
Shared to the podcast’s Instagram Stories Thursday (Jan. 9) night, the post re-shared from @masetelevision features several clips of the “Ballin'” artist acknowledging his fellow Harlemite as the MC who taught him how to rap. It should be noted, however, that in the fifth clip, Talib Kweli attempts to recognize Jones for giving Ma$e “his flowers,” but Jim responds, “I ain’t giving him flowers, f**k that ni**a.” This indicates that, while Jones could acknowledge Ma$e’s role in his development, there were still unresolved issues between the two. See the original clip below and the re-post on the It Is What It Is account here.
This post followed several others shared by the podcast’s social media page after Jones told Justin Laboy in a recent interview that he “watched Ma$e sh*t on Cam” during their since-resolved beef. Jones also claimed that when the former Bad Boy signee started making decent money, he “lost his mind” and mistreated those around him.
In response, It Is What It Is shared clips of Cam and Ma$e together captioned, “THERE IS NO BETTER FEELING WHEN YOU CAN LAUGH ABOUT DISSING EACH OTHER IN THE PAST, THIS WHAT HAPPINESS & GETTING A LOT OF MONEY TOGETHER LOOK LIKE…NO NEED TO DWELL ON THE PAST, WE HERE NOW, WE GONE ‘PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT.'”
While 50 Cent also responded to comments made about him and Cam during Jones’ interview, Jones hasn’t directly addressed any of the men since the Q&A’s release. He did, however, re-share a post from an associate who claims they saw Cam’ron allow Jim Jones to be jumped in Harlem by eight men from Brooklyn, which could partially explain much of the tension between the Dipset members.
