John Fury sparks chaos by throwing water at Tommy Fury's opponent Darren Till

3 days ago 3

John Fury caused a right ruckus at the presser for his son Tommy Fury's next scrap against Darren Till.

The young Fury is gearing up to make a comeback to the ring this January after a year out, topping the bill on a Misfits card against ex-UFC hardman Till. Tommy hasn't thrown a punch in anger since he outpointed KSI in 2023, and Till's never had a pro boxing bout before.

The two are set to duke it out at Manchester's Co-Op Live Arena come January 18, and they were in London on Tuesday getting everyone all revved up for the dust-up. The banter was flying thick and fast until John Fury got stuck in, squirting water at Till and sparking a bit of a melee.

Security had to jump in quick-smart to stop it all kicking off proper, with both fighters champing at the bit to have a go at each other. But cooler heads prevailed, and they didn't come to blows.

Earlier on, Till had been gobbing off about how he'd plant one on Fury's mug if he was getting battered: "At the end of the day if I can't beat you, I'll just kick you in the face in there, how about that? " he quipped.

Tommy wasn't having any of it, though and said: "Well that's not going to happen is it Darren. Because we ain't in the cage now, we're in the boxing ring and you're going to find out that boxing is very different to MMA."

But Till wasn't done yet, cheekily firing back: "Well it obviously is, how are you going to stop me? If I'm losing the fight, I'm going to kick you straight in the face. You won't know what's hit you."

Till has previously participated in an exhibition boxing match against Mohammad Mutie, which he won by TKO at Social Knockout 3 in Dubai earlier this year. He was set to fight ex-WBC middleweight boxing champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.

However, the match was cancelled after the event was postponed due to Tyson suffering an ulcer flare-up. On the other hand, Fury boasts a 10-0 boxing record with his most notable victories being against YouTubers KSI and Jake Paul.
