Gregg Wallace has been replaced by food critic Grace Dent as MasterChef co-host while a probe into allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour against him are investigated

Food critic Grace Dent, 51, has been revealed as the new host of the BBC cooking show, alongside John Torode. Gregg Wallace has stepped away from the programme following allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour by several women - which he denies.
Now Lisa Faulkner has thrown her support behind Grace following news of her new MasterChef gig, which was announced by the BBC. The post on social media, which tagged John, read "Grace Dent steps in as judge for Celebrity MasterChef 2025."

John, who didn't mention Gregg, wrote: "I have loved working with Grace on MasterChef over the years. She has been an excellent guest, an inspiring critic and also set some incredible challenges.
"Expertise is what MasterChef is all about, from the contestants to our wonderful production team, to us as judges. The love of food, the love of MasterChef, and that unquestionable expertise, makes Grace the perfect person to step in alongside me as judge for the forthcoming Celebrity MasterChef series."
And Lisa. who married John in 2019, commented on the post with three raising hands emojis and a love heart. She said: "Go Grace!".
Replying to her message, a fan told her: "@lisafaulknercooks I'm so pleased for Grace and us as well. Love her."
Wallace been accused by 13 people of making inappropriate sexual remarks across several shows over a 17-year period. A probe into the claims has been launched by MasterChef's production company Banijay UK.
He has denied making inappropriate sexual comments and his lawyers told BBC News 'it is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature'. Wallace is also accused of groping individuals.
Wallace has unfollowed John, his former co-star of two decades, on Instagram, along with Lisa. It's claimed he's "furious" with John for not defending him during the scandal.
"Seeing John keeping quiet amid all of this has irked him hugely." They added: "Gregg and John have been colleagues for almost two decades and while they aren't the closest of friends, Gregg feels John could say something."
"He has deleted them from his Instagram account now and unfollowed both of them. It might seem petty from Gregg but he is furious about how this has all played out,"
