Justin Timberlake has announced he's postponing six shows on his ongoing world tour

It's been announced that several of Justin Timberlake's tour dates have been rescheduled, with him apologising to fans and sharing that he hadn't been "feeling great".

The singer-songwriter, 43, is in the middle of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour and was scheduled to perform in a number of cities in the US in the coming days. He's however shared that he will be taking a brief break from the ongoing world tour, confirming that he will resume it in November.

Six shows - to take place in Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Ohio - have been rescheduled to February next year. Justin WAS due to perform in the cities Chicago, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Columbus.

He wrote in a message on Instagram on Wednesday: "Hey guys - I haven't been feeling great the last few shows and turns out I have bronchitis and laryngitis. I'm so sorry to say I do need to reschedule the next few shows from 10/23 through 11/2. New dates listed above." Justin concluded: "Thank you for understanding - I'll make it up to you."

Bronchitis, as stated by the NHS, is the "inflammation of the airways in the lungs" and is typically caused by an infection. Symptoms can include coughing and related chest pains, shortness of breath and a high temparture. It adds that bronchitis "usually clears up without treatment" in weeks.

Similarly, laryngitis is "when your voice box or vocal cords in the throat become irritated or swollen," according to the NHS. It adds that a a hoarse voice and losing your voice are potential symptoms, and states that it "usually goes away on its own" after a few weeks like bronchitis.

Justin's Forget Tomorrow World Tour opened in April, with the first show held in Canada. He's currently scheduled to visit a host of places including Brazil, Norway, England and Northern Ireland before it concludes in July next year.

The tour has faced a few issues in the months since it launched, with Justin having notably been arrested in Sag Harbor, New York, in June for allegedly driving while intoxicated. It was further reported at the time that he was also slapped with citations relating to running a red light and failing to stay in his lane.

Last month though, it was reported that he had agreed a plea deal to have the initial charge dropped and instead accept a Driving While Ability Impaired charge. It's been described as a lesser charge and it was reported that he has since been slapped with a fine and ordered to perform community service. He also reportedly agreed to be part of a public service announcement.

More recently on the tour, Justin postponed a concert at the Prudential Centre in New Jersey on October 8, as reported by the Independent, attributing it to an injury. The show ended up being rescheduled for the following week.
