Kailyn Lowry gave fans a rare look at her precious twins Verse and Valley, sharing a video of their Halloween-themed 1st birthday party.
The Teen Mom 2 alum, 32, brought in grey and orange balloons, ghost and cat figures and an arch that read “spooky ones” as the setting for the party for her youngest children, which she shared in a Tuesday, October 29, Instagram post.
Son Verse wore a green onesie with jack-o’-lanterns, bats and ghosts on it, while daughter Valley donned an identical one in pink. Each child got their own Halloween-themed smash cake, which they were seen digging into with their hands.
The party was a family affair. Kailyn’s fiancé Elijah Scott, with whom she shares the twins, tickled and cuddled their kids, being an adoring dad to his children. The couple’s oldest child, son Rio, and Kailyn’s son Lincoln Marroquin were seen smiling and watching their siblings enjoy their milestone birthday.
“I can not believe the twins are already one! They have brought so much joy into our family! Happy Birthday Verse and Valley, we love you!” Kailyn captioned the video.
Friends and fans gushed over how adorable her twins are. Kail’s former Teen Mom costar Tyler Baltierra wrote, “They’re SO CUTE!” while a user added, “What perfect little babes!”
“I wasn’t ready for those sweet faces to pop up omg,” one fan wrote, while another left the comment, “Oh my goodness they are so stinking cute! I can’t believe they are one already!”
Kailyn was very private about her twins’ birth. She didn’t confirm their arrival until several months after they were born, revealing she was a new mom again on the January 19 episode of her “Barely Famous” podcast.
“I ended up delivering at 35 weeks,” she recalled, adding that the twins were delivered via C-section. Kailyn admitted she was “terrified” because she didn’t “love” the idea. “But I knew I had to do it because the baby was breached.”
The Delaware resident said that her son was born first and her only daughter followed a few minutes later. Soon after the deliveries, the babies were put into incubators and she and Elijah, 26, weren’t allowed to have physical contact with them.
“They weren’t just there for a couple of days. We were there for a couple of weeks,” Kail revealed about how long the babies were kept in the neonatal intensive care unit. “I cried a lot. I probably cried more with the NICU journey than the C-section stuff,” she noted.
Verse was released to come home first, while Valley remained in NICU. The Pride Over Pity author shared how difficult it was to go see her in the hospital while taking care of her other children.
“It was an hour drive there and back and when I was there, I was there for hours,” Kailyn described about visiting Valley, adding about Verse, “And then we have six other kids. When he was discharged from the NICU, we had him at home.”
“She was away from her twin. We were away from her. When we were home, we still couldn’t process it because there was so much going on here. Lincoln still had his basketball games and practices. Isaac still had his after-school stuff. Lux still had what he was doing,” she continued.
Kailyn gave birth to her first child, son Isaac Rivera, in January 2010, when she appeared on MTV’s 16 and pregnant. Lincoln arrived in November 2013 during Kail’s marriage to ex-husband Javi Marroquin. She welcomed son Lux in August 2017 with ex-boyfriend Chris Lopez. The pair also share son Creed Romello, who arrived in July 2020. Kailyn and Elijah welcomed their first child, son Rio, in November 2022.
