The royal said she “couldn’t have asked for more” from the medical staff, who provided “exceptional” “care and advice” during her time as a patient.

“My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything,” she wrote.

Now that she is in remission, Middleton announced her new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden.

“My hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer,” she wrote.”

“It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery,” she continued. “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.”

Middleton said she is “looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead” now that “there is much to look forward to.”

“Thank you to everyone for your continued support,” she concluded, signing off with her first initial.

Middleton spent most of Tuesday chatting with doctors and cancer patients at Marsden, hugging and comforting those receiving care.

The royal announced that she had completed her cancer treatment in September 2024 following nine months of chemotherapy.

At the time, Middleton called her cancer journey “complex, scary and unpredictable” but said her main focus was to “stay cancer free.”

“Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” she said.

Doctors discovered Middleton’s cancer last January and she underwent a planned abdominal surgery as a result. However, the mother of three didn’t reveal her cancer diagnosis until March after royal fans noticed her long absence from public events.

It’s unclear what kind of cancer she was diagnosed with.
