Princess Kate has been warmly supported by her husband Prince William and the Royal family amid her health challenges this year, but another female Royal has emerged as a particularly comforting figure.
Royal author Claudia Joseph disclosed that Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, has acted as a "tower of strength" for Kate, reports the Mirror.
Speaking to Fabulous, Claudia remarked, "I'm sure that Sophie has been a tower of strength through Kate's cancer diagnosis and will be there for her at the end of the phone whenever she wants a chat."
Emphasising the pair's close-knit relationship, Claudia mentioned how they reside just 11 miles from one another—with Kate at Windsor's Adelaide Cottage and Sophie at Bagshot Park—which was on display during their warm exchanges at the Remembrance service in London, where Sophie was spotted offering a comforting hand to Kate.
Claudia further noted: "They are incredibly close and live only 11 miles from each other – Kate in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Home Park and Sophie at Bagshot Park."
She went on to say that while Meghan dismissed Sophie's offer to guide her on royal life, Kate eagerly embraced Queen Elizabeth II’s recommendation to connect with Sophie, viewing her as a reliable member of the royal institution.
Their bond has grown stronger as Kate steps into her role as Princess of Wales, with Claudia highlighting, "She has found that Sophie is a true confidante and sounding board and they have developed a mutual respect and an unbreakable bond."

An insider has revealed to The Times that King Charles has been a pillar of strength for Princess Kate throughout the past 11 months, as reported by the Express.
Both royalty were hit by cancer diagnoses—King Charles alongside his daughter-in-law—and during their challenging journey, they appear to have forged a tighter bond.
Around January, they both received treatment at The London Clinic where they are said to have provided significant support to one another.
A source close to King Charles shared: "The King has always had a close, warm and unique relationship with the princess. She has a great love and respect for him and his position. When they were in hospital together there was a lot of toddling down the corridor to spend time with her. He has been encouraging and supporting her throughout."
