Katie Maloney has addressed the news that the Vanderpump Rules cast will be shaken up and says she quit way before producers came to the decision.
“Vanderpump Rules as we know it is gonna be no longer,” said Katie on her Disrespectfully podcast. “They announced last Tuesday that they’re going to be rebooting it with an entirely new cast for season 12 and none of us OGs will be returning.”
“You know — as [well as] other people close to me — I didn’t plan on returning. Maybe it doesn’t matter at this point, but I had made a decision months ago after [the last reunion]. I needed to move on with my life. And this was before we knew the show is gonna be put on pause … I talked to producers about it.”
The cast reportedly only found out about the show reboot the day before the news went public. After the last reunion, producers felt they had no choice but to bring in a fresh new cast as almost all of the relationships on the show were fractured following #Scandoval.
Season 12 will return sometime next year, in 2025, on Peacock.
