Katie Price's career could have taken a very different turn

Turns out there's a morbid side to Katie Price most people don't know about.

The media personality, 46, has dominated headlines in recent years thanks to her ever-changing face, turbulent love life, and financial troubles. It is believed Katie, aka Jordan, has undergone a whopping 17 breast augmentations, a rhinoplasty (nose job), eye lifts, and other 'tweaks' - even admitting herself that she may have gone "too far".

"I don't know what it is, I think deep down there is something," she opened up to documentary maker Louis Theroux. "I always said I haven't got body dysmorphia but there's definitely something. Even before I was a model, I always wanted my boobs done, always. And then when I was 18, I had them done so I've always liked that look but I've never looked in the mirror and thought: 'Oh, I'm pretty'."

Katie's various TV appearances and side-hustles have paved the way to her long list of procedures, but the celeb has another 'fixation' that seems miles away from her glitz and glam lifestyle. In a resurfaced interview from 13 years ago, Katie revealed she'd love to work in 'really dark prisons' full of 'rapists, paedophiles, murders' and cannibals to 'get inside their brain'.

She explained that she'd read about some of the world's most notorious criminals, including Harold Shipman, Dennis Nilsen, Ted Bundy and Rose and Fred West 'in detail'. "I'm obsessed," she added. "I just love the idea of finding out what happened to them in the past to make them do what they did. I'd love to be a detective – that would be my dream job, and autopsies, anything about that."

Katie's unusual hobby may soon collide with her on-screen career. Earlier this year, the former model revealed she'd spoken to the infamous 'Costa Cannibal Killer' after he wrote to her following his release from jail, after he bludgeoned his partner to death.

According to the Sun, a runner from one of her previous reality series, who is now working as a senior producer, remembered her passion and knowledge of crime and recommended her to Channel 4 bosses for a new series on serial killers. "I got on a Zoom with them and they were like, 'Jesus Christ, you know more about crime than we ever thought'," Katie said on the Not My Bagg podcast. "I'm going to interview serial killers on death row in Texas at the end of the year."
