Katie Price has opened up about her recent IVF treatment, branding the experience "horrific" and saying that she "won't be watching" a documentary about her efforts to have a baby
Katie Price has bravely spoken out about her "horrific" IVF ordeal, confessing she "won't be watching" a new documentary that follows her desire to have another baby. The 46 year old ex-glamour model, famous as Jordan in her heyday, may already be a mum to five but is eager to expand her brood.
Set to star in a revealing Channel 4 documentary 'Katie Price: Making Babies', the former pin-up shares her attempts to conceive baby number six with then-boyfriend Carl Woods. Now loved up with reality TV hunk JJ Slater from Married At First Sight, she's opened up to Closer, spilling the beans on her traumatic IVF and current love life twists.
Katie said: "I've just done an IVF programme. I've got my twin dolls at home, which I'm not going into detail about. I did IVF, and that programme will be out next year. I won't be watching, as I don't want to be reminded of the past.
"The experience was horrific and, if I look back, I wasn't in the right relationship. I think things happen for a reason, if I'm honest."
Last month, fans were left scratching their heads when Katie teased a snap of two tots, hinting her 'twins' had arrived. Plot twist: they were reborn dolls – super pricey toys that look like real newborns, reports the Mirror.
An insider dished to OK! magazine the deep reason behind Pricey's doll duo.
"She's been through a lot of trauma in her life and she's been at her happiest when she's had her babies," they remarked. The insider proceeded to clarify that having children is her "happy place and safe place" and with the dolls, she can "just get on with her life as normal".
Despite three attempts at IVF with Carl, which unfortunately led nowhere and resulted in their split, Katie has expressed her desire for more kids. In conversation on the Netmums Podcast, she admitted feeling "grateful" for her five children but affirmed she wants "more".
Additionally, Katie mentioned: "And I don't want to be told by a doctor or something that I can't have more. So I'm looking into other journeys that if I want more, how I can do that, because I know I'm not done. I still want, if I could have two more kids, I would."
She also opened up about fertility insights, saying she "didn't realise" until her own IVF experience that "you're born with a set of eggs", and you lose some with "every period you have", leaving hers "quite old now, so it's whether it produces a good egg or not".
