Reality Tea Awards 2024: Shadiest Reality TV Moment of the Year

2 hours ago 2

Hello, and welcome to the first annual Reality Tea Awards! Today, we’ll be looking at some of the shadiest reality television stars of 2024, naming our top four nominees, along with our winner, as voted for by Reality Tea staff. Here at Reality Tea, we celebrate our TV villains for the entertainment they bring – so long as they don’t cross any major lines – so please know we’re lifting these personalities up rather than attempting to pull them down.

Nominee: Mary Cosby shading Meredith Marks’ clip-in bangs

Mary Cosby and Meredith Marks are the friendship that Real Housewives of Salt Lake City fans didn’t know they needed. Between their serious conversations and funny interactions, the duo is today’s Romy and Michelle. During Season 5, Mary wanted to show the ladies what it meant to host a real party. Thus, the theme of Breakfast at Tiffany’s was born. Naturally, everyone committed to the theme, but Mer went above and beyond the call of duty. Upon laying eyes on her friend, the preacher quipped, “Meredith looked like Flintstones.” And let’s call a spade a spade it looked like Mer was wearing a really bad toupee.

For Meredith, she didn’t “understand how everyone wasn’t wearing Audrey Hepburn bangs.” During a Miami Fan Fest, Mer doubled down, saying, “It was Moon River. Come on, embrace. The concept was there.” However, Mary’s words still live rent-free in fans’ heads.

Nominee: Sandra Diaz-Twine saying Larsa Pippen looks older than her

Sandra Diaz-Twine is the Richard Hatch of The Traitors. When she was confused in her confessional, “I didn’t think Larsa and I were born in the same age because she looks at least ten to 12 years older than me,” I about lost my mind. Sandra played a great game while Larsa Pippen arrived hand in hand with her now ex, Marcus Jordon. Sadly, no one really took Larsa seriously as she trotted around the castle in her designer duds and overfilled lips. It became clear early on that Sandra also didn’t take Larsa seriously as she joked the Miami housewife might just be here for a vacation.

Nominee: Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard ‘respecting’ out Teresa Giudice’s hairline

I just love when Teresa Giudice gets put in her place. Maybe there is a little villain inside me, too. But during Season 2’s House of Villians, Tiffany Pollard gave the ultimate shade to Tre’s previous widow’s peak. The former VH1 star wanted to ask Tre to be roomies, but instead of being direct, she told the Bravo star, “I feel like I can come to you because I always respected your hairline on television. For real, for real.”

New York’s hairline comment flying over Teresa’s head and then her not understanding New York actually wanted her bed was *a chef’s kiss* for me. Tiffany tried her best to save face as she made sure to comment on Teresa’s $12,000 handbag, too, as she compared hers, saying “It might not measure up because it’s from QVC.” After an awkward silence, Tre agreed to be New York’s roommate.

Nominee: Margaret Josephs exposing Jackie Goldschneider’s texts about Dolores Catania

I found something intriguing about Margaret Josephs’ ability to annihilate a former friend on this season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Jackie Goldschneider had turned the tables on Marge by befriending Jennifer Aydin and Tre. And frankly, the blond in pigtails had enough. The lawyer had been talking badly about Marge, and in a fit of rage, she decided to forward texts that showed Jackie talking badly about Dolores Catania. The entire altercation was magic. After being signaled to check her phone, Dolo interrupted Jacks to say, “I have to check on my dog.” Upon reading the text, Dolores turns to Jackie and asks, “I’m a slob.” At this point, the jig was up, and Jackie knew she was in trouble.

Winner: Margaret Josephs’ funeral floral arrangement for Teresa Giudice

Marge was easily our 2024 winner this year by a mile! Say what you want about the Macbeth Collection owner, but the funeral flowers and condolences “for the loss of your dignity” card may be one of the most iconic things I’ve ever seen on this show. Tre made an event out of having her lawyer, James Leonard, over to try to pin all her issues with Luis Ruelas on Marge. The entire conversation is spoken in riddles, and it turns out Marge wasn’t even the rat. Since she wasn’t invited, Margaret sent some funeral flowers to Tre’s door. I have to agree with Danielle Cabral, as it was the “most gangster move” we have ever seen when it comes to shading an arch-enemy. So, Marge, hold that metaphorical trophy high as we celebrate you for being 2024’s Shadiest Reality Star.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey can be streamed on Bravo and Peacock.
