Kelly Clarkson “felt single” when she was married to now-husband Brandon Blackstock, a source exclusively tells Page Six.
“As time went on in their marriage, Kelly didn’t feel like she had a partner,” the insider explains.
“Kelly felt single in a lot of ways even while she and Brandon were still married.”
The “American Idol” winner, 42, filed for divorce from Blackstock, 48, in June 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage.
The exes were entangled in a lengthy legal battle surrounding spousal support, custody of their two children — daughter River, 10, and son Remington “Remy,” 8 — and Clarkson’s Montana ranch.
Clarkson won primary custody of their two children in November 2020 and the former couple eventually settled their divorce in March 2022. Blackstock was ordered to leave the ranch by June 2022.
