Kerry Katona has announced her split from fiancé Ryan Mahoney, admitting she's "struggling" to cope with the end of their six-year relationship.
Speaking to OK!, Kerry shared that despite attempts to resolve their issues, Ryan has moved out of their Cheshire home following a "breach of trust."
While the 44-year-old star said their relationship is on uncertain ground, she hasn’t lost hope for a possible reunion, confessing that she's still deeply in love with the fitness coach.
In her candid column, Kerry revealed: "Last week, I mentioned that Ryan and I were going through a rough patch, and now he's moved out. We’re no longer together, and it’s been an incredibly tough week—I never imagined it would come to this. Without sharing too much, there’s been a breach of trust between us."
She continued: "I’m not sure if we can work things out, but my feelings for him remain strong. It feels like everything has been piling on lately, and it’s a lot to handle. Still, I know I can get through this; I’ve overcome break-ups before, so we’ll see what the future holds."
Kerry’s statement follows an Instagram post where she joked about being "single," which surprised fans until she clarified it was a playful prank for her mother.
In her column last week, she addressed the confusion, sharing: "I'm sure you'll have all read the 'news' about me splitting up with Ryan after I flippantly said I was single on my Instagram to make my mum laugh. It was a throwaway comment that I made between my mum, my best friend Danielle and me but it all spiralled out of control."
She added context to the post by explaining, "If you watch the video on my Instagram, you can hear us talking to the doctor and Danielle left a funny comment underneath asking if he was single. To try and cheer my mum up, I said that I was – but with a laughing face.
"I made a joke but, like any couple, Ryan and I do have hard times and our ups and downs. Sometimes we're just hanging on by the skin of our teeth but that's often what happens in a relationship. We've got a lot more than usual to deal with at the moment, like the kids at home, outside drama and looking after my poorly mum."
