Kid Cudi fans can now get their hands on Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven on vinyl.
The album is among three Cudi joints being released in new vinyl colorways, joining the lone project from his and Dot da Genius’ rock duo, WZRD, and the Speedin’ follow-up Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’. All three are available for pre-order via Complex Shop starting Thursday.
Notably, this marks the first time that Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven has been produced in this format, fulfilling a long-held desire among fans who have held out hope in the nearly 10 years since the album’s release. The project was considered to be a dramatic artistic departure from Cudi at the time of its release.
In the years since, however, the album has come to be reappraised, with its importance in the larger creative trajectory of Cudi having become clearer as the artist and actor’s palette has continued to expand while influencing new generations. Cudi himself has opened up about the personal importance of the Speedin' sessions over the years, revealing back in 2019 that he was going through “some real shit” during the recording process.
“I just wanted to scream and yell and make angry songs,” Cudi said of the rock and grunge-leaning album.
Last year, Cudi released Insano and Insano (Nitro Mega) within a month of each other, marking his ninth and tenth studio albums, respectively. Next, Cudi is set to release his memoir, writing for which began back in 2022.
