Kim Kardashian has unveiled her real hair for the first time in a long time - and it looks as though the constant extensions, bleach, and heat have done lasting damage to her tresses.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 44, left reality TV viewers shocked on Thursday when the mum-of-four showed off her real hair in unexpected scenes on her family show, The Kardashians. Kim made her shocking hair reveal while out for breakfast with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, and her mum, Kris Jenner.
The family were celebrating Kourtney's birthday at IHOP when Kim decided to take off her cap and her wig to reveal her own hair - which was bleached blonde and frazzled. Kim had her locks slicked back into a low bun, and viewers couldn't help but notice the reality TV star's split ends.

Hulu)The latest episode of the hit reality TV show was filmed just a number of weeks before Kim dyed her hair platinum blonde for the Met Gala back in May. At the time, Kim said that she was worried that her natural hair could fall out due to the harshness of the dye and the damage it could cause - but Kim was determined to look her best at the prestigious awards.
In scenes that fans simply cannot stop talking about, Kim is asked about her Met Gala look before she tells her sisters that she doesn't think she can eat while out for breakfast for Kourtney's birthday because she's worried she won't fit into her dress. Kim then confesses that the hair under her hat is in fact a wig, and that she is trying her best to protect her natural hair ahead of the Met Gala and to keep her new hairdo under wraps.

The reality TV star then removed her hat and wig from her head to reveal her bright blonde hair before she explained: "I am in the process of dying my hair for the Met. There will be times where you see me with brown hair and now I have blonde hair, so I will keep you guys guessing this season."
After watching Kim's real hair reveal, fans of the show flocked to X to share their thoughts. "Kim Kardashian's natural hair is proof that we as women need to look after what we have been given and to not ruin our natural beauty with fake alternatives. Her hair is literally burnt off," one complained.
"Omg Kim's real hair looks like mine after a terrible hair-dye job. What the heck," another quipped. While someone else echoed: "Nah Kim Kardashian showing off her hideous natural hair on global TV was not on my 2025 bingo card. She's just like the rest of us."
For her Met Gala debut, Kim modeled a silver custom Maison Margiela gown as she stormed the red carpet.
