Despite rumors circulating about a potential engagement to 26-year-old model Vittoria Ceretti, Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly sticking to his well-known "25-and-under" dating rule.
The Oscar-winning actor, who celebrated his 50th birthday on November 11, has been the subject of speculation after fans spread gossip claiming he had proposed to Ceretti. However, a source close to DiCaprio quickly shot down these claims.
"This is nonsense - no one can get Leo down the aisle," the source explained.
The insider went on to explain that DiCaprio looks up to Hollywood bachelors Jack Nicholson and Al Pacino, both in their 80s, who have openly spoken about their dislike for marriage.
"Leo loves Jack and Al, and they have both been very vocal about how they hate the idea of being tied down by women," the source shared.
"It's one of the reasons he admires them, and he's not afraid of turning out just like them, flabby and alone after years of womanizing."
Marriage might just not be in Leo's plans
This isn't the first time engagement rumors have swirled around DiCaprio. Back in March, Ceretti was seen sporting a ring on her left hand while having lunch with the actor at a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles, sparking speculation that they were engaged.
Despite these rumors, the couple's relationship appears to be progressing without any plans for marriage. They were first seen together in the summer of 2023, when they were spotted dancing in Ibiza, leading to widespread rumors about their budding romance.
"They've been spending a lot of time together over the past few months, and they're enjoying getting to know each other on a deeper level," a previous source declared.
Although DiCaprio has made it clear that he's not ready for marriage, the two are reportedly planning to spend Thanksgiving together.
Last year, they celebrated the holiday in London with Ceretti's family, and she has already bonded with DiCaprio's mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, and his long-time friend, actor Tobey Maguire.
