Light-fingered Liam Gallagher admitted pinching cash from Manchester United stars, according to ex-ace Brian McClair.
The Oasis star, 52, told former Celtic hero McClair he trousered money from United players as he washed their cars.
Live Forever singer Liam and his brother Noel scrubbed motors in Manchester for players and staff of both Utd and their beloved City before they hit the big time.
McClair, 60, said he met Liam and Stone Roses musician Mani at a recent FA Cup final when the antics were revealed.
He said: “I knew them before they became anything, they were still washing cars.
“I met Liam at the FA Cup final. He was there in a box with Mani and I had blagged into the FA Cup final on some corporate thing.
“I know Mani quite well and I was chatting away with them and we were just talking about those times.”
McClair told his Life with Brian podcast: “Liam was saying, ‘That was great, the best thing about it was all the money they used to have in the cars, in the cigarette trays.
“’We were making more money taking coins out of Mark Hughes, Bryan Robson and Steve Bruce’s cars than we were getting paid.
“’Not only were we getting paid, we were getting to rob those Red b******s’.”
McClair, nicknamed Choccy, had earlier told how Oasis stars washed cars in return for penguin biscuits.
He dished out the treats after they had valeted cars belonging to the players and even manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The brothers would work at United’s old training ground, The Cliff, and also at Manchester City ’s Platt Lane training ground.
McClair made 145 appearances for Celtic before switching to Old Trafford in 1987 where he played 355 times and netted 55 goals.
