Police have raided the hotel where Liam Payne tragically plunged to his death, according to reports.
The probe has intensified with authorities now believed to be delving into details about the employees of Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the incident took place.
Liam Payne sadly died at the age of 31 on October 16, after a fatal fall from the third-floor balcony of Casa Sur, an event that sent reverberations across the world. Insiders claim that investigators are insisting the hotel "must provide" additional security tapes and info on its staff, particularly focusing on those working when the incident happened and in the preceding days.
US Weekly has reported that during the police raid, officers were searching for specific documents in the hotel's registration books and extracted data from the hotel computers.
Earlier reports mentioned that Paul Higgins, Liam's bodyguard, accompanied police at the hotel to inspect security footage. Moreover, Higgins appeared to be questioning hotel staff to ascertain who might have provided the late One Direction star with alleged narcotics, as extensively covered in the media, reports the Mirror.

Following the discovery of cocaine residue in the singer's system, an autopsy carried out posthumously "determined the presence of the class-A drug", according to Infobae. Additionally, ABC News reported that "pink cocaine" was identified among the substances involved.
The drug cocktail that proved fatal included a hazardous mix of MDMA, ketamine, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack. Former basketball sensation Lamar Odom has suggested that hallucinations possibly induced by such substances could have impacted Liam's tragic fate.
