Kate Cassidy, girlfriend of the late Liam Payne has shared a touching tribute to her boyfriend in the form of a new tattoo. She has mentioned angels several times since his death and opted for an inking to express her spirituality
Kate Cassidy, the late Liam Payne's girlfriend has paid a touching tribute with him with a new tattoo.
The pop icon died two months ago after falling from the third-floor balcony at a hotel in Argentina. He had been drinking and doing a concoction of drugs the night he died. His funeral saw bandmates from One Direction pay their respects as well as friends and family.
Kate, who he had been dating since 2022, has made several references to angels since his death. This has included mention of the number 444, which is described as the "angel number". She also suggested in a tribute post to him that she had "gained a guardian angel".
She has now given a glimpse of a tattoo in the shape of angel wings. The ink was visible in a photo that Kate shared of herself through her Instagram Story on Sunday. It showed her cuddled up with the couple's dog Nala, who they are said to have adopted a month before Liam's death.
One of Kate's hands was visible as she cuddled her dog whilst laying on a bed in the photo. She had two tattoos, one her index and another on her middle finger, which are thought to represent a pair of angel wings. As the caption of the post, Kate simply put a red heart emoji.
She had previously written a post on her social platform saying: "Your energy was contagious, lighting up every room you walked into. You had the kindest soul and the most fun-loving spirit. It feels like I've lost the best part of myself. I can't imagine a day without your laughter and love. You brought so much light into my life."
She also wrote: "A few weeks ago, we sat outside on a beautiful evening manifesting our lives together. I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it. It said 'Me and Kate to marry within a year/engaged & together forever 444.' Liam, I know we'll be together forever, but not in the way we had planned. You'll always be with me. I've gained a guardian angel."
