Liam Payne was reportedly resigning from four of his music companies on the day he died.
Former One Direction star Liam died at the age of 31 on October 16 after falling from the third floor of the CasaSur Palmero Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There had been reports that he was acting 'erratically' before he fell and what appeared to be drug paraphernalia was later found in his room.
It has now been reported that the Strip That Down singer had filed papers to resign from four music firms on the day he died.

Documents on Companies House suggest the star resigned as director of firms called Hampton Publishing Ltd, Hampton Music Ltd and Hampton Records Ltd on 16 October. Liam - who was apparently seen checking emails in the hotel lobby in the hours before he died - also resigned from Long Play Touring LLP, where his role had been listed as “Designated Member.”
Hampton Music Ltd was valued at around £15,000 in 2023, and Hampton Records Ltd was worth close to £300,000 in 2022. Accounts for Hampton Publishing Ltd show that it was worth nearly £15,000 in 2022 and that the figure was £729 in 2023.
Long Play Touring LLP, apparently the star's live music arm, was worth close to £135,000 in 2022 but that had apparently dropped to just over £17,000 last year.
Almost two weeks after Liam’s death, it has been reported that his balcony fall was caught on CCTV.
There has been a lot of speculation over what happened on the day the singer died and now Argentinian broadcast journalist Paula Varela has claimed that the actual fall was caught on camera. She said that the footage shows that the star “fainted” on the balcony and then fell.
She said on Argentinian TV show Socios del Espectaculo: “There is footage that is not being released to the media with the balcony scene where you see that Liam faints and tragically, because of where he is, falls from that balcony. If he had been beside his bed he would have fallen on his bed.”
After the singer’s death a preliminary report stated that he suffered injuries that were "consistent with a fall from a great height". It also said that Liam may have been fully or partially unconscious when he fell from the balcony.
