Liam Payne reportedly hated being locked in hotel rooms and had escaped from another balcony just weeks before his tragic death.
The One Direction star fell from the balcony of his room at the Casa Sur hotel in Argentina last month. He tragically died due to his injuries, and was laid to rest last week at a funeral in Buckinghamshire.
But according to new reports, it is believed Liam may have been trying to escape from his hotel room after staff locked him inside. And it's reportedly not the first time he tried to do so.

TMZ report that just weeks earlier, in September, Liam had escaped from a balcony of a Florida rental home using a garden hose. According to the US site, his bodyguard has forced him inside the room, fearing he had been on a drug binge.
Distressing CCTV images published on the site showed more details of Liam's final moments before his death. In one, timestamped at 4:52pm local time, he could be seen standing in the hotel lobby.
It was reported in the days after Liam's death that he had been disruptive.
In another image, reportedly just two minutes later, Liam could be seen being carried by his arms and legs by three men. It is reported he was conscious at that point still, as he was holding his head up.
It is believed they took him to his hotel room, where he reportedly struggled with them. According to reports, hotel staff used a master key to enter the room and put Liam inside.
A police report says that hotel staff removed a mirror from the wall outside Liam's room too.
It appears Liam may have told the employees he did not want to be locked in the room and would use the balcony to escape. One of the employees called emergency services moments later and mentioned it.

Tragically, after being locked inside, Liam fell from his balcony. It is believed he was trying to escape, as he was found with a bag on his shoulder which had not been there when he was carried away from the hotel lobby.
A second bag was also found on the balcony of the floor below, leading police to believe he may have been trying to move down one floor and then jump to the ground floor.
