Actor Lily Collins shared a surprise announcement that she's become a parent this week.
Lily, 35, revealed on Friday night that she's welcomed a baby via surrogate with her husband, film director Charlie McDowell, 41. The couple, who have been together since 2019, shared the news with fans in a joint post on Instagram.
They shared a photo of the newborn in the post and wrote: "Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell. Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again…"
The name Tove, according to Ancestry UK, has its origins in Scandinavia. It's said to be derived from the Old Norse word tfa or tofi, meaning beautiful, and is also associated with the Norse god Thor, representing strength and protection.
The news was met with well wishes from fans.
