Presenter Lisa Faulkner has reflected on her marriage to John Torode for their anniversary following the resurfacing of comments about a "cowardly" letter he once sent her.
Lisa, now 52, and fellow celebrity chef John, now 59, first met when she competed on Celebrity MasterChef in 2010. They are said to have been friends initially, whilst both in relationships with other people, and then began a romance in 2012 once separated from their respective ex-partners.
The couple, who occasionally work together on TV, went on to get married in 2019. Lisa and John are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary this week, with them having both posted on Instagram to mark the occasion on Thursday.
Alongside a photo from their nuptials, Lisa wrote in the message to her husband on the platform: "Happy anniversary my John. Thank you for 5 beautiful years married. I look back on the magic of that day and all the love in the room and I look today at this magical day and all the love in the room."
Whilst John wrote in his post to her: "Happy anniversary to you my amazing wife [Lisa]. 5 years has flown by. The best 5 years - love, joy, friendship, happiness and more love. Thank you for making my life full. Bloody properly love you Lisa, my wonderful wife. Honoured to be your husband."

John shared that he had sent a letter to Lisa asking her out on a date, admitting that he had been too "cowardly" to ask in person.
He told the Sunday Times back in 2022: "I'd separated from my wife [Jessica] which was awful, and I was reluctant to approach Lisa face to face as I didn't fancy the prospect of her saying no, so I wrote her a letter. If I'd got no response, it wouldn't matter." He described the approach as "cowardly," before adding: "I'm as cowardly as they get."
Lisa has also spoken about the initial stages of their romance too, telling the Daily Mail in 2013: "John and I were friends. Neither of us thought of it as anything else until..." She continued: "I don't know how things change, but something does."
She added that they went "out for dinner" together after he asked her on the date, with her stating that it was "different" after the experience. She shared at the time that they were "taking things slowly" with their then-new relationship.
