Pop star Jade Thirlwall has released a selection of merch to accompany her new single, Fantasy. It includes branded hoodies, T-shirts, a vinyl and mugs - so far so normal. But look a little closer, and fans were stunned to spot items that are a tad bit racier.
The stunning star, who shot to fame on X Factor in 2011 as one quarter of girl band Little Mix, posted the bundle of items to her social media on Tuesday and it also included CBD lube and a butt plug from trendy brand Howl.
The singer, who has a large LGBT following, captioned the images: "Whatever floats your boat I’ve got it for you babe." And, of course fans flooded the comments section proclaiming their delight at the edgier move. "She meant it when she said 'it can be kinky,'" wrote one Instagram user. Another gushed, "The sex toys, lube, bandanas… you know your audience!"
The 31-year-old singer's creative merch choice has been chosen to promote her third single of the year, 'Fantasy', after 'Angel Of My Dreams' and 'Midnight Cowboy', which came out on 18 October. The sexy items in question retail at £75 as part of a bundle called the 'Jade X Fantasy Howl Box'. This includes a sleeping eye mask with the word Fantasy embroidered on it, a thong made from what appears to be candy, a butt plug attached to a keychain and Howl's silicone-based anal lubricant. It is currently available to preorder.
Jade, who is a passionate LGBT+ ally, has spoken previously about how she takes this role very seriously. “I think the pressure comes with just wanting to say and do the right things," says Jade. “I don't think there is such thing as ‘the perfect ally.’ I'm still very much learning, and I don't want to put myself on a pedestal, for then maybe to say the wrong thing one day and slip up and be like ‘Oh god, I'm so sorry, I've done the wrong thing.’

The singer is now enjoying a successful solo career after band Little Mix went on a hiatus in 2022, which also includes Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Two years prior Jesy Nelson left the band for mental health reasons.
Jade previously spoke about how she had wanted the band to continue making music, being a fan of Little Mix as well as one of its stars. "Out of all the girls, I was the one that was going down with the ship, like, 'just one more song!'" she says. "I was obsessed with the band. I really do think I was Little Mix's biggest fan, so the thought of letting that go was really hard."
