Love Island winner Josh Oyinsan made a vulnerable admission on the Pride Of Britain red carpet.

The 29-year-old wowed in a green suit, accessorised with a diamond chain and spoke candidly about his time on the show after his breakup with girlfriend Mimi Ngulube. Josh admitted he was most proud of how vulnerable he was, something he said he didn't expect himself to be like.

Being the first black male winner of the show, Josh hailed it as a momentous and historic occasion, and hopes his vulnerability will inspire others to go for what they truly want.

Josh and Mimi won the 2024 season, but the pair split just two months after their momentous win. When it came to winning, Josh admitted he "never expected to win" and said his reaction "said it all. He also touched on how being successful on the show was a turning point for black men on reality TV, and he hopes it can inspire others.

When it comes to what he was most proud of, Josh explained: "I think me coming out I was really proud of how vulnerable I was in front of the whole world. I just want other black men to know it's okay to be like that and show your true emotions, sharing and saying how you feel.

"Being a black guy and winning the show for the first time in 11 seasons it's a big achievement. I hope I can give other people more inspiration to do what they want to do. No matter if you're black, asian, white, just go out and really go for what you want because you can do it."

"Love Island taught me I don't need my phone, and it taught me how to learn and bond with others. It made me grateful for the smaller things. I appreciate conversations so much more. I think I got portrayed well, and I am grateful for that. It was a very different experience and it made me bond with the others so well," he explained.

Josh was a later arrival to the villa, and he said it was "difficult" coming in late, but said they quickly got to know him and his character. He said his time in the villa truly taught him to be patient, and a deeper appreciation for bonding and forming relationships.

Since leaving the show, the star has now hinted he's following his passion of fashion since leaving the show.
