Love Island's Marcel Somerville's ex-wife breaks silence as star heads back into ITV villa with former flame

1 day ago 2

The new crop of Love Island All Stars contestants has been announced - and there could be a few clashes of exes this time round.

The iconic ITV2 show is back for a second season of the All Stars line up, with Maya Jama returning to host again in South Africa.

The All Stars version of the show started last year and had fans immediately hocked, as islanders from past seasons returned for another chance at love.

And one person who could be causing waves is none other than Marcel Sommerville - who shot to fame on the 2017 season of Love Island, where he came in fourth place with Gabby Allen, who will also be heading to Cape Town for the new series.

Marcel and Gabby were loved up for a while when they left their Majorcan holiday home but love was not set to last for the pair, as they soon split after the former Blazin' Squad star was reported to have cheated on the Liverpool native on holiday.

Marcel would go on to marry Rebecca Vieira in 2022 but they've now gone their separate ways - with Marcel moving out of their family home in March 2022.

And as news breaks that Marcel and Gabby will be reunited in South Africa, Rebecca took to social media to share a slew of snaps and break her silence.

Showing off her stunning looks following a game of football, Rebecca - who is still not officially divorced from the musician - posed and pouted at the camera and showed off her skills on the pitch - before sharing a quote that showed she was trying to rise above the new development in her ex's life: "What makes you beautiful is that you stayed soft in a life that tried to harden you."

Rebecca made a statement following her split from Marcel, which was reported to have left him devastated, as she took full responsibility following a fling with rapper Slim Jxmmi.

She said: "By now most of you would have seen what's going on, I've made a huge mistake, I've embarrassed not only my husband but myself and both our families. My actions were foolish and have hurt so many people around us but most importantly my husband. I've said a lot of things that I shouldn't have and it was stupid of me so I won't sit here and justify my actions, those decisions should have never been made."

She added: "I want to publicly apologise to my Marcel, just as loudly as the rest of the noise. For all the hurt, embarrassment and pain I have put him through there is nothing and no one in the world that comes before you and our family. No-one could ever compare."
