Liam Payne’s family pay tribute after his death
The mystery deepens as new details emerge about the tragic demise of Liam Payne, the former One Direction star who met his untimely end at just 31 years old. On October 16, Payne fell from a third-floor balcony at Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, sustaining "serious injuries that were incompatible with life".
Police probing Payne's death have returned to his hotel room to search for a £30,000 Rolex watch that has been reported missing in a fresh update.
The officers went up to his third-floor room to continue a search for the singer's missing gold Rolex this morning, the Daily Mail reports.
While the luxury hotel remains open for business amid beefed-up security, the singer’s suite has remained cordoned off, with guests being kept away from it.
Police sources told Argentinian daily La Nacion: "We know, from images that were analyzed, that Payne was wearing a Rolex on the day of his death.
"He was wearing it in one of his hands and he had it for at least two to three hours before he [fell].

"We looked for it in the room at the CasaSur hotel where he was staying and we couldn’t find it."
They added: "The watch was searched for in the homes of the three people being investigated on suspicion of abandoning Liam and the supply and facilitation of drugs, as well as in the homes of the two female escorts who were with him in his room the afternoon he died.
"The room is still sealed off by court order and no one can enter.
"Searching for the watch in the homes of the people Liam had contact with before his death was the initial priority but now another inspection will take place to see if it remains somewhere in his room."

Three individuals have been charged in relation to Liam's death, as per the prosecutor's office. The arrests of three suspects, now under formal investigation, were confirmed by officials.
They stated that the offences could lead to a prison term of up to 15 years upon conviction. It was also confirmed that one of the suspects is a hotel employee.
One of the three suspects being investigated over Liam Payne’s death has broken his silence to insist he did nothing wrong and make astonishing claims about his relationship with the singer.
Braian Nahuel Paiz, an Argentinian waiter, denied being Liam’s drug dealer but admitted consuming drugs with him in an interview on local TV on Saturday.
