Margot Robbie gives birth to healthy baby boy two weeks before due date

Margot Robbie has reportedly welcomed her first child with husband Tom Ackerley.

Reports suggest that the actress, 34, went into labour two weeks earlier than expected, but insiders assure that "all is well" with the newly expanded family of three.

It's believed that Margot gave birth on October 17, with close friends and family keeping the news under wraps to respect their privacy. Margot's parents, who hail from Australia, are said to be heading to Los Angeles to meet their new grandchild.

This follows sightings of Tom near their Venice Beach home in California, stocking up on baby essentials, as reported by Daily Mail. He was spotted picking up a large box of nappies from Coterie, along with a box of cigars and a bottle of wine.

The Barbie star has been preparing for the arrival of her first child, with sources revealing that she was eagerly anticipating motherhood.

They added that she and Tom had "wanted to be parents for a really long time, and are so happy."

The former Neighbours star couldn't contain her excitement about her pregnancy, frequently flaunting her growing baby bump with pride. Rumours of Margot's impending motherhood began swirling in July after she was seen sporting a noticeable bump during a getaway to Lake Como, Italy.

Despite typically maintaining a private stance on their personal affairs, Margot and her husband Tom received an outpouring of well-wishes from numerous high-profile figures, including the prestigious Vogue magazine, a publication Margot has adorned the cover of multiple times.

The couple's romance began back in 2013 on the set of the World War II film Suite Francaise, culminating in a low-key wedding in Byron Bay, Australia, in December 2016. Their nuptials caught some off guard as they had kept their engagement completely under wraps.

Reflecting on their relationship in a 2016 Vogue interview, Margot divulged: "I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long.

"I was always in love with him, but I thought, Oh, he would never love me back."

The Suicide Squad actress candidly shared her feelings as she reflected on her relationship, adding: "Don't make it weird, Margot. Don't be stupid and tell him that you like him. And then it happened, and I was like, 'Of course we're together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.'"

Margot has always harboured dreams of a bustling household, a sentiment she echoed in a 2016 interview. The Wolf of Wall Street actress revealed to the Daily Telegraph: "I want tons of children! Well, maybe not too many. I grew up in a family of four [kids], so that sounds like a good number."
