The Hardy Boyz are, without a doubt, one of the most popular and successful tag teams in professional wrestling history.
Real-life brothers Matt and Jeff Hardy have been wrestling together ever since 1993 after Jeff debuted in the Trampoline Wrestling Federation, later renamed to the Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts (OMEGA).

After making their debut as the Hardy Boyz in WWE (then WWF) in 1996, the duo have gone on to win championships across multiple promotions.
Now, it seems that the incredibly talented duo could return to WWE for the first time in six years.
During a recent episode of "The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy" Podcast, co-host Jon Alba stated that he believed the Hardy Boyz would return to WWE television in 2025.
"I think that the Hardys are going to have a match in WWE in 2025," Alba said. "I don't know when that would happen, and I don't know where it would happen, but I feel pretty good about it. What do you think about that?"
Matt Hardy simply responded, "Yeah, I feel pretty good about it too. You never know."
The last time the Hardy Boyz were seen together on WWE television was in 2019 when they successfully defeated The Usos to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.
Unfortunately, Jeff would get injured soon afterward and Matt would leave the company after he was featured less on television.
Since then, the brothers reunited in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2022 and then joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in 2024 where they are currently the TNA World Tag Team Champions.
Given WWE's close relationship with TNA, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Hardy Boyz come back to the promotion that made them famous, especially since other TNA wrestlers have appeared with WWE, including Mickie James, Jordynne Grace, and Joe Hendry.

Looking at the schedule for the next year, it's likely that both brothers could be entrants in the Royal Rumble at the end of January, mostly because it is an exciting way to reintroduce WWE royalty.
In the end, this matches up with Matt's wishes for the brothers to end their careers in WWE.
"We've said this before and I've said this on this podcast, ad nauseam that I think we want to finish in WWE now because that is our home," Matt said, per Subhojeet Muherjee of Ringside News. "That seems like the right way to do it."
