Miami Beach has officially revoked Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Key to the City following a string of charges and lawsuits filed against him.
Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner announced the news during last week’s in-person hearing. The decision was sponsored by commissioners Joe Magazine, David Suarez, Tanya Katzoff Bhatt, and Alex Fernandez.
Former mayor Philip Levine gave Diddy the key in 2015 during the Revolt Music Conference at Fontainebleau.
Fernandez reportedly spoke with CBS Miami, where he called the allegations against the disgraced mogul “disgusting,” “dirty,” and “inhumane.”
“Justice must be served, and this is a small way in which our city can grant some justice to the victims of the gross acts that have been committed,” he added.
Diddy was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and conspiracy. He is in jail awaiting his trial, which is slated for May 2025. Prosecutors allege Diddy abused women, controlling them through alleged blackmail or violence.
