Michelle Keegan ‘weeks away from giving birth’ as TV bosses target her for fly-on-wall series

WITH her first baby due next month, Michelle Keegan is back on set for Brassic to finish scenes before going on maternity leave.

But as she prepares to fill her time with night feeds and dirty nappies, TV insiders tell me the actress and husband Mark Wright are being targeted for their own fly-on-the-wall series, documenting the journey into parenthood.

A source said: “Michelle and Mark are such a TV power couple, and becoming parents is huge for them. A couple of production companies are writing up propositions to see if they’d let in cameras to follow them becoming parents.

“These fly-on-the-wall shows are huge on ITV, as well as streamers like Prime, and there is a huge audience that would love an insight into Michelle and Mark’s world.

“It’s all just in the planning stages and no formal approaches have been made but the offers are close to being finalised.”

They added: “Michelle is pedal to the metal on Brassic at the moment. She is finishing up her scenes before she goes off for a break. Her co-stars will stay working until about May but Michelle is having to get finished in about three weeks.”

The production companies will have their work cut out trying to persuade Michelle to go down the reality telly route.

Mark, who found fame on Towie, is no stranger to having a camera following his every move.

But since she quit Corrie in 2014, Michelle has worked her socks off to break into more serious acting.

I love her as Erin Croft in Brassic — a show wrongly robbed of the Best Comedy gong at the NTA’s year after year.

And her turn as Maya Stern in Fool Me Once on Netflix was absolutely outstanding.

It will need to be an impressive offer to get Michelle to turn her head.

Red hot Becky lights up festival

THE temperatures are freezing and the skies are gloomy here in Blighty – but Becky Hill hasn’t had to deal with any of that Down Under.

She wore a red laced-up bodice as she performed at the Golden Lights festival in Auckland yesterday.

It has been a sunny 23C there and I’m not jealous at all . . .

But this was her last one, so she can finally enjoy a break.

I wouldn’t rush back, Becky.

Enjoy the sunshine while you still can.

MP rallying cry over A.I. threat to industry

IN music, AI has become more prevalent than ever.

But while some artists such as Sir Paul McCartney have used it for good, others including Billie Eilish and Stevie Wonder have voiced concern.

Dame Caroline Dinenage, chairwoman of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee, has weighed in with a stark warning about a new government proposal to change how copyright works for AI companies.

Tech firms would have the potential to train their models on the UK’s creative output, including films and songs, without having to pay or seek permission.

Writing to me, MP Caroline said: “Labour wants to give global tech giants free rein over British culture. The Government is consulting on radical changes to these rights that risk handing international tech giants a free pass to scrape British music, books, films, news and more from the internet without permission or payment to those who created it.

“This is the Government’s serious proposal. Unless, that is, creators expressly ‘reserve their rights’ by integrating a virtual ‘do not steal’ sign into every copy of their work on the internet – an unreasonable, illogical and impossible feat.

“I have no doubt the creative industries will continue to make their feelings very clear.”

Father Ted

TEDDY SWIMS has spent much of the past year on tour – but he clearly made the most of the short time back home because his girlfriend is pregnant with their first child.

The Lose Control singer shared snaps to announce Raiche Wright is expecting a baby later this year.

But it doesn’t sound like he will be there too much in the final weeks of her pregnancy.

He is gearing up to release new album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) on January 24, having yesterday dropped new single Are You Even Real, with Giveon.

He will be at the Grammys next month, where he is nominated for Best New Artist, and kicks off a UK arena tour on March 3.

Chart champions

YOU have probably heard The Days by Chrystal, at No6 in the charts.

But the success has been more of a shock to the singer than anyone else.

She was studying law before moving into music, and released a debut EP in 2015.

She focused on raising a family until her sister suggested putting tracks on streaming services.

Then the house tune exploded online and went viral . .

Rolling back

AS the saying goes, you wait ages for a bus and then two come along at once . . .

Now the same could be true for Rolling Stones albums.

It has been revealed the band have secretly readied songs for another record after releasing Hackney Diamonds – their first album of original material for 18 years – in 2023.

Bill Wyman, the band’s bassist from 1962 to 1993, collaborated with them on a song called Live By The Sword for that record, which featured late drummer Charlie Watts and Sir Elton John.

He has now teased they also made a second song for a future project.

Bill said of Live By The Sword: “They asked me to do a track that was unfinished, with Charlie Watts playing on it. They thought it would be nice to reunite the original rhythm section. It was a hard one to play on, and busy. Elton played the piano on it as well. Mick and the producer said my stuff was good and they were happy. I did two tracks and they’ll save one for another album.”

That will be music to the ears of their fans, particularly as the rockers have gone quiet since their US tour ended last July.

And while they are still great at music, Bill revealed singer Sir Mick Jagger isn’t so lucky when it comes to football.

Bill told footie magazine FourFourTwo: “Mick watches some international football, though he earned a reputation as a jinx. He was cheering on Brazil when they got humiliated 7-1 by Germany, he’s been to watch England games where they’ve lost and he was a USA fan when they lost against Ghana.”

Thank God he’s not a Spurs fan like me.
