In one photo, Zara is seen donning a raincoat with the hood up, paired with a sports cap to protect against the sea spray. Another image captures the couple clinking champagne glasses with friends, all smiles, as Zara stands out in a chic white outfit, glass in hand.
The post also featured Mike at a table with British TV presenter Georgie Ainslie, with a yacht-themed cake taking pride of place. The couple had left behind the UK's dreary weather to support Ben Ainslie's Ineos Britannia team at the prestigious sailing event.
Fans poured into the comments section to wish Mike a happy birthday, with @sandieb321 saying: "Hope you had a great birthday and received everything you wished for."
Meanwhile, @allyk247 commented: "Happy birthday Mike, sounds like you had a wonderful day that's great. I hope all your wishes come true."
Mike and Zara's love story began during England's triumphant Rugby World Cup campaign in Australia back in 2003. The rugby ace popped the question to Princess Anne's daughter in 2010, leading to their nuptials at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh the following year.
Despite being the second child of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, who ended their marriage in 1992, Zara does not carry a Royal title. The couple are proud parents to three children - Mia, Lena and Lucas.
