Miley Cyrus wore a full-face of affordable Maybelline makeup for the Grammys

When it comes to red carpets, you usually expect stars to opt for high end only, whether it’s a designer gown or a luxury beauty product. However for this year’s Grammy Awards, nominee (and winner) Miley Cyrus instead had her full beauty look done using exclusively high street makeup products, with the most expensive item on her list costing £13.

Her makeup artist James Kaliardos called it her “powerful goddess” look, and chose all Maybelline products to create it. Everything from her foundation to her eyeshadow hailed from the affordable beauty brand, making it one of the easiest red carpet looks ever to recreate at home.

James shared a full product breakdown over on his Instagram, which began by using the Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser Concealer (£7.99, was £9.99) in shade 120 under Miley’s eyes and in the centre of her face. Next, he added the Super Stay Lumi-Matte Finish Foundation (£12.99) to the areas that required some extra coverage, like her cheekbones and temples, to give it a luminous matte finish.

To give some dimension and depth to her face, James then enhanced her cheekbones, eye crease and temples with the Maybelline Lifter Stix in shade neutral 20. Sadly this isn’t currently available in the UK, but the Rimmel Multi-Tasker 3 in 1 Bronzing Stick , £11.99, works in a similar way, and can be used for contouring, highlighting and sculpting. He then added a flush of Maybelline’s Sunkisser Blush in shade Downtown Rush (down from £9.99 to £7.99).

To make Miley’s eyes the star of the show, James used the Color Tattoo Eye Stix, £8.99, in shades I am Rare and I am Courageous, along with the Tattoo Studio Gel Pencil (now £5.59, was £6.99) to create a smoky depth. He accentuated their shape with the Master Precise Eyeliner in black, and added several coats of Sky High Mascara (currently £10.39 down from £12.99) in both Very Black and Brownish Black shades. He also used the Superfluff Brow Mousse, £10.99, in shades soft brown and blonde to define her brows.

Finally, James kept Miley’s lips neutral to allow her eyes to stand out, opting for the Maybelline Lifter Liner in shades On It and Line Leader, which contains hyaluronic acid to help plump and define your lips. He finished with a swipe of Superstay Teddy Tint (£11.99) in shade Knee High, and a layer of Lifter Plump Gloss in the shade Hot Honey (£8.79, was £10.99).
