Her ethereal couture Dior strapless gown was designed by the brand’s creative director and Italian fashion designer, Maria Grazia Chiuri. The bustier gown featured an alluring draped bodice that fit her like a glove, complementing her stunning figure. The dress further showcased a long and flowy pleated skirt.
Moreover, it had intricate embroidery and beaded embellishments throughout the overlayer of tulle fabric. Chanakya Atelier reportedly completed the adornment of the gown over 750 hours. Meanwhile, the ensemble took a total of 1,100 hours to create.
In an interview with Vogue Magazine, Barbaro, who is a Dior ambassador, talked about her captivating dress at the 82nd Golden Globes Awards. She revealed, “Maria Grazia Chiuri drew this beautiful sketch for me as soon as ‘A Complete Unknown’ received its nomination.” Barbaro continued, “My stylist, Jeanann Williams, and I immediately fell in love.” The actor further opened up about her personal taste in fashion, explaining, “In my daily wear I don’t tend to trend hop. I love timeless staples with more simple, subtle nods to what’s currently in fashion.”
