Monty Don has issued a new update after being rushed to hospital yesterday. The BBC star underwent 'emergency treatment' and was forced to cancel a gig, but it seems that Monty is now on the mend.
Taking to Instagram, the Gardener's World host posted an image of his frosty garden, with the caption: "Morning #gettingbetter."
Many of his fans flocked to the comments section to wish him a speedy recovery. One person said: "That's good to hear. We have tickets for Harrogate and are hoping you will be well enough x."
A second also typed: "That's great news. I was sorry not to see you in Bath, my friend and I have been looking forward to it for over a year, but what matters is that you are being well cared for and getting back to good health again. Hopefully we'll see you next year sometime instead."
A third penned: "Rest up Monty. I saw you in Brighton, it was a wonderful evening, I really hope you weren’t feeling ill then."
The 69 year old was forced to cancel six of his scheduled gigs due to a mystery health scare which saw him being rushed to hospital.
He was due to give talks in Exeter, Truro, Bath, and Nottingham over the weekend.
Monty explained his hospital stay in an online video, where he said: "Hello. I am so sorry to have disappointed all those people who were going to come and see me in Exeter and Truro and Bath and Nottingham."
He revealed that on Friday afternoon his health took a nasty turn and he was forced to spend three days in hospital.
"I was rushed to A&E. I was kept in at the hospital over Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and had to have drips and all the rest of it," he added.

Monty recently confessed that he "hasn't got endless time left" and discussed his thoughts on ageing. The star took over as the main presenter of the BBC show in 2003, succeeding former Ground Force star Alan Titchmarsh.
Recently, Monty has been contemplating his future with Gardeners' World due to his advancing age. In a November interview with The Guardian, he stated: "I haven't got endless time left. If I'm still going strong in 20 years, that will be brilliant, but 20 years ago doesn't seem so long ago", reports OK! Magazine.
Monty then disclosed plans to retire from Gardeners' World "within the next five years" to concentrate his efforts on producing more documentaries, much to the disappointment of fans.
