Whilst the Bottega Veneta Jodie bag will set you back £2330, the New Look bag is considerably more affordable. Originally priced at £26.99, it’s now on sale for £20.24 thanks to New Look’s 25% off sale.
Although Bottega’s Jodie bag is made from real leather which makes it more durable and hard-wearing, the New Look version is made from a faux leather-look material which helps keep its price tag down. However it does have a similar woven textured design and a top handle that’s finished with a knotted feature.
The New Look bag features an inside zip pocket that’s perfect for keeping things like your phone or money safe, and the whole bag also fastens with a zip top, so you know your belongings are secure when you’re out and about.
It’s also the perfect size for an evening bag, being roomy enough for essentials like your phone, wallet, keys and makeup without being too bulky or oversized. Although we’re loving the metallic silver for Christmas, you can also currently get the bag in a matte black colourway too, which is perfect if you want something more understated.

However some disagreed, stating: “I was disappointed when this arrived. It was much smaller than expected. It won’t go on shoulders making it impractical.”
But there were still more who loved the bag, writing: “Amazing dupe! There is no way I was spending £2,600 on a bag.. that's madness to me. Obviously it isn't leather but I am ok with that. I just wish there was a Tan and Beige option too.... Public Desire - please can you make more in a selection of different colours, please!”
