Nikki Garcia is coming clean about what life is like post-divorce. And while she and her ex-husband Artem Chingvintsev reached an amicable settlement, it still hasn’t been easy to move forward. The former WWE star candidly said she cries regularly navigating the way forward.
Nikki met Artem while doing Dancing With the Stars. The pair fell in love in the spotlight and wed in 2022. Then they had their son Matteo. They appeared the picture-perfect family.
Alas, that perfection didn’t last.

And now, on the heels of their private mediation divorce, Nikki is attempting to walk the long road of moving on. And she’s opened up about the divorce and shared her own experience on the latest episode of The Nikki and Brie Show, the show she does with sister Brie Garcia.
“I think what was best for me was disconnecting from so much and facing a lot,” she said. “And to have been doing the work for so many years leading up that prepped me and gave me a great foundation. But I want you to know that you are so much stronger than you think,” she shared with a listener who was also going through a divorce.
“We definitely have super weak moments,” she admitted. “And we have to figure out how we get through that. What do we do, who do we lean on, what do we need to bring into our life and surround ourselves with, and what can make us strong? I’ve dedicated myself to that in the past few months and it helps.”
The reality star candidly added that she still doesn’t have “a day without tears” but she quickly added that “we’ll all get there.”
“I just know that situations like divorce take a piece of you,” she explained. “It takes a piece of your heart that will never grow back or never be replaced. But it’s how we make that piece of you that’s gone strong.”
Now, Nikki is focusing on getting stronger and moving forward. “These past few months have made me reflect on my entire life,” she said. “God put this on my path for a reason, so what am I supposed to learn here?”
It looks like she has a realistic but hopeful outlook for the future.
