With every new year, we welcome a revival of beloved jean trends of decades past. In 2024, we saw wide leg and flares surge in popularity, with the end of the year seeing the return of 70s and 80s icon, the barrel leg. And love them or hate them, it looks like these flattering and 'horseshoe' style trousers are here to stay in 2025 - and we're fully on board for it.
We're not the only ones as, alongside celebs like Binky Felstead, Gigi Hadid and Blake Lively, some of our favourite high street shops are celebrating this style with a plethora of colours and bottom-heavy cuts, including Nobody's Child. Whether you're a blue jean girl - in all washes - or prefer a smooth crisp white colour, the shop adored by the likes of Louise Thompson has you covered.
Costing £75, Nobody's Child has not only restocked its 'in demand' mid-wash high rise barrel leg jeans, which scream vintage chic and have an air of loose fit 'mom jean' about them, but it has introduced a handful of other colours and different lengths.

The High Rise Barrel Leg Jeans are now available in light wash, washed black and white and come in sizes 4 to 18. With 'the most flattering fit', the jeans have a subtle curved barrel leg silhouette that cinches in the waist with its high rise button fastening.

Nobody's Child)Being looser on the legs, these jeans are perfect for those with more curvaceous thighs as the shape glides over your legs without causing any discomfort when seated - something I can attest as a lover of this style. Made from 100% cotton too, you can guarantee a soft fabric that feels nice on the skin.
While this cut from Nobody's Child grazes the ankles (measuring at 29 and 31 inches in length), these aren't the only barrel jeans the brand has available. Fashion fans can also pick up the light wash denim horseshoe barrel jeans for £79 - which are a great, more affordable alternative to Free People's gorgeous We The Free Good Luck Mid-Rise Barrel Jeans, £98.
These slightly baggier horseshoe-style jeans feature the classic barrel-design feature of a dart at a the knee to give a relaxed fit as well as a fitted high rise that nips in at the waist. These jeans also have two differing lengths of 29inches and 31inches.

It's safe to say fans of the brand are in love with its new-in jeans. Shortly after posting a video on Instagram highlighting its new washes and 'trending shapes', which they captioned with: "A moment for the jeans: trending shapes and new washes are here", the barrel jeans were singled out by shoppers as a stand out addition.
One commented: "The barrel Jeans," followed by emojis with heart eyes. Another simply commented with a love heart.
While there are no reviews for the jeans just yet - thus highlighting their effortless glamour and quality - styling the trousers may not come easy due to their rather unique shape. We suggested belting the jeans and roughly tucking in your favourite tee or jumper for a casual vibe with some trainers or ballet pumps.

Of course, with barrel jeans being a popular trend in 2025, Nobody's Child isn't the only place to get your hands on a pair. At Next, you can pick up a pair of dark blue Dart Detail Barrel 100% Cotton Jeans for £45, as is the case with River Island's mid-wash blue denim seamed jeans.
Meanwhile, Abercrombie & Fitch's design are on sale for £56.25 in the medium blue shade, with other options like leopard print, grey, white and black versions available. M&S is also on the bandwagon, with Sienna Miller's collection including a popular style in ivory and black for £49.50.
