THIS is the moment 'Oasis' once again electrified the Knebworth Estate with a gig - on a car charging forecourt.

The Manchester band set records when they played to more than 250,000 people at the historic estate in 1996.

Now tribute act Supernova has staged a gig to mark the opening of GRIDSERVE's new Stevenage Electric Forecourt on the A1(M), which sits within the historic estate.

Fans were treated to classics like She's Electric, all powered by a Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60 electric vehicles.With over 8.5 million fans around the world estimated to have missed out on Oasis tickets, GRIDSERVE brought Britpop to Knebworth Estate.

It celebrated the opening of its new Stevenage Electric Forecourt on the A1(M), all powered by a Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60.

Rebecca Trebble from the sustainable energy firm said: “We’re delighted to open this new location on the famed Knebworth Estate which has hosted some of the biggest names in music throughout history.

“It’s great to see that this event has brought Oasis fans together once again where they had their notable concert nearly two decades ago.”

Attendees at the gig were given a tour of the new electric forecourt, which has more than 30 electric charging bays, including 24 high-power bays.

Oasis tribute band Supernova, said: “We’re honoured to have been invited to perform at this legendary venue where Oasis had their biggest-ever concert.

“It’s a rewarding feeling to be able to recreate the experience for the fans who missed out on tickets at this very special opening of GRIDSERVE’s Stevenage Electric Forecourt.”

This summer the previously warring Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, put their long-running feud behind them to confirm they were reuniting Oasis for a series of gigs next year.

The band split in 2009 after a backstage fight before a gig in Paris.
