Paige Spiranac slams internet trolls in Sabrina Carpenter sex appeal row

Paige Spiranac has hit out at trolls who criticize her for her sex appeal and defended Sabrina Carpenter as the 25-year-old singer continues to use innuendos and implications in her shows.

Carpenter has made it no secret that she writes and sings about sex, with hits such as Taste and Espresso being about the adult topic, but she is being objected to by onlookers who suggest she needs to be more discreet in her shows.

Recently on stage, she mimicked positions in the bedroom and even replicated a blowjob with her microphone by pulling her own hair, and some of her critics suggest this is too on the nose for her performances, which could have children in the audience.

But for the golfer, she is all-in on the star using her sex appeal and accuses those in opposition of only hating on the Pennsylvanian, who previous toured with Taylor Swift, of being rooted in misogynistic attitudes to women.

"I dislike how women pick and choose when it's okay to support other women for embracing their sexuality," Spiranac wrote onto X.com, formerly Twitter. "Depending on if it appears to be for the female or male gaze.

"Women should be able to embrace their sexuality if that's what makes them feel empowered. One shouldn't be called a genius while the other is called an attention whore for doing the same exact thing."

Spiranac not talking about herself

The 31-year-old blonde, who almost qualified for the Ladies Professional Golfers Association in the 2010s, has a successful modelling and endorsement portfolio through using her own appeal to gather fans.

However, whilst she has been successful and has captured millions of followers, the star who creates adult content on her own website, behind a paid subscription, has also been criticized for turning her own looks and body into a marketing tool.

So when one fan suggested the post to Elon Musk's app is subtly about herself, she quickly wasted no time in shutting down that talk.

"This isn't really even about me," Spiranac added in response to a fan. "It's a constant theme I keep seeing with other women too."
