Football stars Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jamie Carragher, singer Paloma Faith, and comedian Matt Lucas are set to join forces this weekend for a special fundraising event in support of Football For Change.
The annual football fundraising extravaganza, taking place in Liverpool on Saturday (November 2), aims to raise funds for young people living in poverty.
This year, the event is also raising money for Liverpool's children's hospice, Zoe's Place. Matt Lucas will be hosting the evening, with Paloma Faith delivering a performance alongside Texas and Sharleen Spiteri.
The event brings together Premier League footballers, business leaders, and celebrities to raise funds for young people affected by social and economic disadvantages. Football For Change was launched in 2021 by Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jamie Carragher, and Conor Coady in partnership with the Communities Foundation for Lancashire and Merseyside.
It has received support from numerous players, including Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham, Manchester United legend Gary Neville, and Arsenal's Beth Mead. The initiative focuses on raising awareness and funds to help transform the lives of young people through education, mentorship, training and sports programmes.

PR guru Dan Hughes, a founder of the initiative, spoke ahead of this weekend's event, saying: "Football For Change continues to unite the biggest names in sport and entertainment to support young people living in poverty.
"This weekend's fundraising gala features an incredible line-up with Paloma Faith, Texas and Matt Lucas all involved. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Football For Change chairman Jamie Carragher will also be taking part in a special Q&A. There are also going to be some surprise guests too. Football For Change has started to make a remarkable impact since launching in 2021 and it is brilliant to see the difference it is making in communities affected by poverty. None of it would be possible without the support of the incredible talent who come together for this annual fundraising event."
Jamie Carragher also reflected on the importance of the event, stating: "Football has the power to inspire change, and through initiatives like Football For Change, we can make a real difference in our communities. I'm pleased that this year we are also supporting Zoe's Place. The annual Football For Change event just keeps getting better and I'm delighted it is taking place back in Liverpool for the first time in four years."
