Paris Hilton has made a heartbreaking admission about her two-year-old son after losing their family home to the Los Angeles wildfires.

The Hollywood icon shares two children, Phoenix and London, with her husband Carter Reum.

Now Phoenix has told his mum he wants to be a firefighter after the devastating fires that ripped through California, destroying their Malibu mansion. The tot has been so affected by the loss of their home and inspired by the heroic efforts of emergency services he now wants to follow in their footsteps.

Paris was heading out with her son when she was approached by press who asked what he wanted to be when he’s older, and she answered “a fireman”.

In adorable snaps, Paris was seen treating her son to a tiny fireman costume while he held a toy fire engine in one hand.

Paris’ $8.4million home was reduced to ashes in the fires, and she admitted in an Instagram post: “When I first saw the news, I was in complete shock – I couldn’t process it.

“But now, standing here and seeing it with my own eyes, it feels like my heart has shattered into a million pieces. This house wasn’t just a place to live – it was where we dreamed, laughed, and created the most beautiful memories as a family.”

The 43-year-old added: “It was where Phoenix’s little hands made art that I’ll cherish forever, where love and life filled every corner. To see it reduced to ashes – it’s devastating beyond words.”

But in a sweet twist to the story, Paris has ended up with a brand new family member out of the devastation, adopting a dog she has been caring for since the outbreak of the fires.

She’s now living with a pooch called Zuzu, who was at the Pasadena Humane Society after his owners lost their home to the fires.

Paris explained: “His family had to surrender him because they lost their Altadena home in the devastating Eaton Fire. I was fostering him this past week and we've all fallen in love with him so we're going to adopt him.”
