EXCLUSIVE: The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks has confessed that he won't be considering a TOWIE comeback anytime soon after he left the show back in 2021
TOWIE: Chloe and Pete discuss ending their relationshipPete Wicks has vowed he’ll never return to The Only Way Is Essex.
The hunk became a household name during his seven years on the hit reality show and made a raft of close friends, but he insists there is zero chance of him ever doing it again.
He told Daily Star: “I left The Only Way Is Essex a number of years ago and I won’t go back. That was the end of the story.”
Pete still has fond memories of being on the show, which airs on ITVBe. He added: “It was a big part of my life. It’s a great show.”
Since finding fame, Pete has starred on a string of other reality shows including Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity MasterChef, The Celebrity Circle as well as two stints on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Last year Pete landed his biggest show yet when he competed on Strictly and made the semi final, but he’s now keen to do less reality TV and focus on more serious projects.
He told us: “I’ve done all sorts of things on TV over the years. But now I’m at a different age than I was when I started this sort of stuff. People grow and change and that’s where I’m at now.”
His latest show is documentary series For Dogs’ Sake, which continues tomorrow at 9pm on U&W. Pete joined The Only Way Is Essex back in 2014 for the show's fifteenth series and quickly became a fan favourite.
He was previously in a relationship with Ex On The Beach's Megan McKenna from 2016 to 2017, while in more recent times fans may know Pete from his podcast.
Wicks fronts the Staying Relevant podcast with his pal Sam Thompson, who rose to fame on rival reality show Made In Chelsea.
