Plies has taken his support for Kamala Harris to a new level by releasing a brand new song. The Florida rapper issued his new cut on Monday (Oct. 28) entitled “Mrs. 47,” along with a message on his Instagram and X/Twitter, typing, “Promised My Grandmother Before She Passed. The Next Time This Opportunity Presented Itself. I Wouldn’t Miss The Moment!!! Granny I Love U & We’re Gonna Get This Done!! @kamalaharris A.K.A Mrs. 47!!!”
“Mrs. 47” finds the rapper taking aim at those who may have had some unfavorable comments regarding his political candidate of choice. The track also features a verbal takedown of former president Donald Trump, with a message aimed at him and his supporters.
“Snoop said it best, ‘Don’t hate white people, just don’t deal with Trump’/ He hate the have-nots so much, he don’t even wanna feed ’em lunch!” he could be heard rapping.
Elsewhere in the song, Plies offers a sentimental take on the moment, calling attention to the historical implications behind Harris’ potential presidential victory. He detailed how his grandmother used to pray to see a Black person as commander-in-chief and “had tears in her eyes” when former president Barack Obama became president. Plies connects the dots from Obama to Harris, asserting that his grandmother “is smiling down from heaven” at the progress that has been made.
This isn’t the first time Plies pledged his allegiance to the Harris campaign and denounced Trump. Back in February, the artist made a public service announcement regarding Trump’s game plan and how he feels about Black people.
Plies predicted that shortly before the election, Trump and his cronies would increase their racist remarks towards Black people, saying, “Before The Election, He Gone Flat Out Call Them A ‘Ni**a’… I Guarantee It & His Numbers Gone Go Thru The Roof!! This Is Why He’s Loved By His Base. Cause He [Says] The [Quiet] Part Out Loud!!! Keep [Proving] Who America Really Is!!”
