“All good things must come to an end, and unfortunately my time on The Marty Sheargold Show has done just that,” Barry posted.

She added: “Because of our listeners, this show has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

“The Producers Podcast (and its live events) gave Matthew, William and I even more of a chance to really get to know the people who listen to us every day.”

“Following your journeys has made MY journey all the more rewarding.

“I’ve loved, loved, loved my time on the show but I am excited for what the future holds.

“I am thankful this show taught me that diesel is a liquid, that 4/5 is the same as 8/10 (right?) and that the Buffalo Bills are not the same as the ice cream. Love Loren,” she added.

Barry’s absence from the airways had been noticeable, with fans taking to social media to ask where she had gone.

“Really hope to hear you back on TripleM soon mate,” a comment read.

“Miss you on the airways, where have you gone?” another said.

On Thursday’s podcast, Sheargold addressed her exit, confirming that her role as a producer on the show had finished.

“She’s going to be looking at a couple of really good options for herself moving forward,” he said.

“Ones that’ll test her skills more than I can offer her here, which she’s absolutely entitled to do and will do well.”

Sheargold also expressed his support for her future, adding: “She’s staying with the group, looking to continue her growth, and that’s what this business is all about. I’m sure it’ll be an incredible journey for her.”

Barry had been a key member of The Marty Sheargold Show, not only producing but also co-hosting on air.

Her departure came as a surprise to many, especially given the lack of a formal on-air goodbye.

”Shattered. Won’t be the same without you Lozza, thanks for all of the giggles,” the top Instagram comment read.

“Not even a goodbye?! Seems odd to me,” one Instagram user commented.

“Sad we didn’t get an on-air or pod goodbye but thanks for memories ... thanks for the memories,” added another.

Many fans took to social media to praise Barry’s contribution to the show, with one writing, “You’ve been the best female radio presenter I’ve ever listened to!!! You’re funny, witty and caring but not in a fake, BS way.”

Barry’s exit comes shortly after Triple M announced major changes for The Marty Sheargold Show in 2025.

In addition to his national 3pm to 4pm show, Sheargold will also host a new drive show for Triple M listeners in New South Wales and Queensland.
