Primark is stocking a new jacket that bears a striking resemblance to a designer alternative. Known for its affordable fashion and homeware, the high street giant may have just introduced a new crowd-pleaser.
The retailer's Oversized Borg Jacket looks similar to a style by designer brand UGG, but at a fraction of the cost. Shoppers can snag the Primark version for £24, while the Women's Nikia Crochet UGGfluff Jacket carries a price tag of £170 online.
The jackets are very similar, with a fleece finish and a two-tone design, as well as an almost identical shape. There are also a number of differences, including the design of the pockets and additional panelling on the UGG version, which has draw cord along the hem, unlike the Primark jacket.

Primark's own description reads: "Brave chilly weather in style by adding this oversized borg jacket to your collection of outerwear. This cosy looking piece is structured with a funnel neckline (you know, for helping to lock in heat), a zipped fastening and long sleeves.
"Two large pockets feature on the front, enabling you to take a few essential items out and about with you. The UGG jacket is described as "what statement outerwear dreams are made of." It is designed with heritage details like a scalloped trim, inset crochet panels, and an easy, relaxed fit.
Instagram page @welovethehighstreet shared a clip of the new Primark jacket in stores this week, alongside the caption: "PRIMARK CONTRAST BORG FLEECE. OKKKKKK Primark I've been waiting on this and its even better than I thought it would be!
"Girls fully lined and half the price of that certain viral fleece, I actually preferred this as it wasn’t as heavy duty!! There is a lighter colourway coming too!"
The post racked up more than 1,000 likes and many comments from excited fans. Among them, one person said: "Saw these today!!!! so lush!"
