Queen Elizabeth Was 'Annoyed' At Donald Trump Over THIS 'Ignorant & Hurtful' Comment About Her Late Sister!

3 hours ago 1

Queen Elizabeth II was not a fan of Donald Trump!

The late monarch had several run-ins with the former President during their overlapping time in leadership. In royal expert Craig Brown‘s book A Voyage Around The Queen out in August, he claimed Her Majesty found the Republican rude! That was something the businessman previously fought back against, insisting he was “her favorite president.” But now, sources are opening up about why she disliked him so much!

Speaking to DailyMail.com on Friday, a source revealed that issues with the Celebrity Apprentice star began in 2018 when Trump visited the country with his wife Melania. Apparently, for some unknown reason, the MAGA leader decided that was an appropriate time to diss the Queen’s late sister, Princess Margaret, who died in 2002 at age 71. The insider, who was involved in arranging the visit, dished:

“Trump put his foot in it by saying Margaret must have been a difficult sister. The Queen was very annoyed with this remark, which she viewed as ignorant and hurtful. She always defended Margaret to the hilt.”

Why would he say that?? Maybe he thought he was being funny or trying to relate to Elizabeth, but there’s no point in criticizing her dead sibling! While it’s unclear why POTUS said this, it’s believed he may have watched Netflix‘s The Crown in preparation for the visit… because of course he’d think watching a TV show about the royals would be the right way to get informed. LMFAO!

Ahead of this 2018 visit, Margaret’s desire to marry Peter Townsend, a divorcee, was heavily featured in the show — though the monarch and local government forces alike were firmly against the idea due to his former marriage. Elizabeth was willing to make it work by removing Margaret and her children from the line of succession, but her sister eventually chose not to marry him, putting her royal duties first.

As mentioned, in the book A Voyage Around The Queen, the author claimed the mother of four told a guest that she “particularly disliked” the way Trump looked over her shoulder as if “in search of others more interesting.” Oof. She also thought he “must have some sort of arrangement” with his wife after hosting Donny on one of his two visits. LOLz! What did she mean by that? And what did she see that made her think it?!

Regardless, the President-elect blasted the “totally false” claims, telling the DM at the time:

“I heard I was her favourite president. I had a great relationship with the Queen. She liked me and I liked her. She was an amazing woman.”

Uh-huh… Whatever you say, dude.
