Ranking Every Survivor 47 Player’s Game Ahead of the Finale

The Survivor 47 finale airs tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS. One of the four remaining castaways will win over the jury and be rewarded with the million-dollar prize. In honor of tonight’s two-hour special, let’s take a look at the season and decipher who played the best game.

Here are our rankings for Season 47…

Survivor 47 player rankings: #18-15

18. Terran ‘TK’ Foster – Tuku

Terran “TK” Foster’s machismo attitude rubbed his Tuku tribemates the wrong way. His poor treatment of Tiyana Hallums in a challenge resulted in the Tuku women banding together to vote out the Maryland native. He was the second person eliminated on Survivor 47. His sloppy social game earned him the bottom spot on our list.

17. Jon Lovett – Gata

Jon Lovett’s Survivor 47 downfall isn’t entirely his fault. He became a target after Andy Rueda threw him under the bus at the first challenge. Jon tried to preserve his game by attempting to rally votes against Anika Dhar but he was unsuccessful. He was the first castaway sent to Ponderosa.

16. Aysha Welch – Lavo

Aysha Welch’s performance on Survivor 47 was a bit disappointing. Fans had high hopes for the player given her extensive knowledge of the show but unfortunately, her time on the island was brief. She was eliminated in Episode 3, becoming Lavo’s first sacrifice.

Aysha’s elimination could have been avoided if she had been more adaptable. Teeny Chirichillo and Kishan Patel wanted to save her and vote out Sol but she refused to work with them. She had her sights set on Rome Cooney and would not flip her vote. Teeny and Kishan knew Rome had too many advantages in his back pocket, so they didn’t see a point in targeting him. I think Aysha let her personal feelings about Rome cloud her judgment and that is why she is number 16 on our list.

15. Rome Cooney – Lavo

Rome pulled off some impressive moves in the first few weeks on the island. However, his cocky attitude and inability to get along with his fellow castaways foiled his long-term game. It was a miracle he made it to the merge. He played too hard, too fast, and made far too many enemies. He was voted off in Episode 6.

14. Anika Dhar – Gata

Anika Dhar came into Survivor 47 wanting to play as an underdog but she didn’t carry out that strategy. She’s a natural leader and had trouble surrendering control of the Gata tribe. Her alpha attitude annoyed Sam Phalen and Andy, who plotted her elimination on Day 10.

13. Kishan Patel – Lavo

Kishan Patel played a good game. I’m sure he would score higher on this list if he had more time on the island. He had the potential to be a savvy, strategist and a social threat. Unfortunately for him, Genevieve Mushaluk recognized these qualities in her tribemate and cut him the first chance she got. He was sent to Ponderosa before the merge thanks to Genevieve and Rome’s masterful blindside.

12. Tiyana Hallums – Tuku

Tiyana, like Kishan, had the potential to be a great Survivor player but her time on the island was too short. She formed alliances, devised plans, and was a decent physical player. Tiyana’s weakness was that her tribe just didn’t seem to like her that much. She was close with Kyle Ostwald, but Gabe Ortis, Sue Smey, and Caroline Vidmar viewed her as disposable. Her attempts to work with the women were unsuccessful. They chose Gabe over her each time. On Day 13, Tiyana made one more attempt to vote out Gabe but it didn’t pan out. Instead, the group chose to send her to Ponderosa.

11. Sol Yi- Lavo

Sol Yi lasted 16 days on the island and it wasn’t an easy road for him. Rome had an obsession with voting him out, which forced him to make alliances to secure his safety. Once Rome was gone, his positioning in the game improved. He was well-liked and people wanted to work with him. Genevieve’s decision to blindside him in Episode 9 seemed a little random given he wasn’t a huge threat at the time. His elimination does speak to his biggest weakness in the game. He had a few allies but no one was willing to stick their neck out to protect him.

10. Gabe Ortis – Tuku

Gabe played a solid game on Survivor 47. It wasn’t perfect but his social game was impressive. He formed a tight bond with Sue and Caroline. They protected him on multiple occasions and shot down plans to vote him out. His alliance with them proved to be a major asset. Gabe’s weakness was that he was unable to disguise his threat level. The castaways outside his alliance thought he was a sneaky player and didn’t trust him. He lasted 18 days on the island.

9. Sierra Wright – Gata

Sierra’s performance on Survivor 47 was impressive. She formed a ride-or-die alliance with Sam and played a vital role in every Gata elimination arrived. She and Sam ruled the Gata tribe but they found themselves in trouble once the merge arrived. Their fellow castaways viewed them as a threat. In Episode 8, the group decided to break up the Gata duo by blindsiding Sierra at Tribal Council.

8. Caroline Vidmar – Tuku

Caroline’s game was a slow burn. She flew under the radar in the beginning. She hid behind bigger threats and hesitated to make big moves. But as the weeks progressed, she came out of her shell. She started to play her own game rather than acting like one of Gabe’s puppets. Her best move was when she chose to vote out Gabe on Day 18.

7. Sam Phalen – Gata

Sam’s Survivor 47 journey wasn’t easy. The Sports Reporter was running the show on the Gata tribe but he struggled once the merge hit. He lost his number one ally, Sierra, in Episode 8, throwing a wrench in his strategy. It took him a while to recover but eventually, he found a new path forward. His adaptability and impressive social game earned him a spot in the finale.

6. Sue Smey – Tuku

Sue played a loyal game on Survivor 47. She never turned on her allies and always kept her word. Not many players can say they kept their integrity intact for 26 days. In addition to being a good ally, Sue performed very well in challenges and even found an Immunity Idol.

5. Kyle Ostwald – Tuku

Kyle Ostwald was the competition beast of Survivor 47. His string of immunity wins caused the group to see him as a major threat, which ultimately led to his elimination. He didn’t make it to the finale but we would be amiss not to recognize his impressive win streak. The 31-year-old became a target at the merge and had to fight each week to stay in the game.

4. Andy Rueda- Gata

Andy Rueda got off to a rough start on Survivor 47. His public meltdown in Episode 1 made the Gata tribe see him as a liability. He was unable to gain power in his tribe, which forced him to do Sam and Sierra’s bidding. They needed his vote and he was happy to oblige. But when the merge arrived, Andy went rogue. He flipped on his Gata allies, choosing to align with players who he felt would help him get farther in the game. His chaotic strategy took him to the final six.

3. Teeny Chirichillo – Lavo

Some Survivor players turn off their emotions in order to play a strategic game but Teeny led with her heart. Emotions and personal relationships were the guiding light behind every move she made this season. She wasn’t a master strategist but she played an excellent social game that should not be overlooked. She is beloved on the island, which will be helpful when it comes time to face the jury. Her charm and charisma may be enough to win her a million dollars.

2. Genevieve Mushaluk – Lavo

Genevieve was the mastermind of Survivor 47. The 33-year-old orchestrated multiple blindsides and betrayed her allies to strengthen her position in the game. Her strategy may have been a bit ruthless but it got her to the final five.

1.Rachel LaMont- Gata

Rachel LaMont is the favorite to win in tonight’s finale. Her resume speaks for itself. She’s won Immunity Challenges, found advantages, and saved herself from elimination twice. She’s played strategically and made her own luck on the island. Her brilliant Idol play last week was just what she needed to convince a jury she’s a deserving winner. Her fellow castaways exchanged looks of shock and admiration when she pulled out her secret advantage.
